Dosage for kidney patients.

If you have kidney problems, you should consult a doctor to discuss your dosage of TamiFlu. Recommended dosage for Kidney patients is as follows:-

For Treatment of Flu: One 75 mg dose, once daily for 5 days
For Prevention of Flu: One 75 mg dose every other day or 30 mg dose once daily

What if you forget to take your dosage ?

If you have forgotten to take your dosage on time, you can take the missed dosage at least 2 hours prior to the next scheduled dose. You should never take 2 dosages within a gap of 2 hours to make up for the missed dose.

TamiFlu Storage

TamiFlu pills should be stored at room temperature (below 25 degree Celsius) and should be kept at a dry place. Liquid TamiFlu should be kept at 2 to 8 degree Celsius in refrigerator. Liquid TamiFlu should not be frozen.
Keep TamiFlu out of reach of children.

Side Effects Of TamiFlu

TamiFlu is very safe to be administered for treatment and prevention of Flu. In rare cases, some patients may experience the following side effects:

  • Nausea

Other Important Tips

  • Intranasal Flu vaccine should not be given 2 weeks prior and 48 hours after TamiFlu.
